Make your turkey a taste sensation with fresh herbs and this easy recipe.

  • 1 whole turkey
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Turkey Roasting Herb Kit
  • 2 carrots, cut into medium chunks
  • 4 stalks celery, cut into medium chunks
  • 1 medium onion, cut into medium chunks
  • 1- 32 ounce carton chicken or vegetable stock
  • 2 cups water

  1. Remove giblets and neck from turkey, wash the turkey inside and out, dry well.
  2. Coat the inside and outside of the turkey with olive oil.
  3. Season the outside of the turkey as well as the cavity with the salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  4. Place half the Turkey Roasting Kit (be sure to use all three herbs: Rosemary, Sage and Thyme) inside the cavity of the turkey.
  5. Add half the carrots, celery and onion in the cavity with the herbs.
  6. Place the turkey on a roasting rack and place in the bottom of a large roasting pan. Arrange the remaining herbs from the Turkey Roasting Kit as well as the remaining vegetables around the turkey in the bottom of the pan.
  7. Pour the stock and water over the vegetables and herbs.
  8. Roast until a thermometer reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit- approximately 20 minutes per pound for a defrosted turkey and 10-15 minutes per pound for a fresh turkey. Baste the turkey every 30-40 minutes with the juices in the pan.
  9. Remove turkey when done. Allow 20-25 minutes to cool before carving.
