I recently purchased a Venus Flytrap at a local Aldi. The printed instructions, on the side of the container, says to,"...use a diluted fertilizer monthly...", and I would like to point out- for the highest potential of longevity, and health of the plant- you should NEVER use fertilizer on a VFT. It thrives on poor soil and the insects it consumes are the 'fertilizer'. Also, only use rainwater, or distilled water. ( NOT tap water)

I hope they'll be happy in a terrarium. Can you dump dead bugs in the dirt ?

Well, of course, you can! Not sure if it will fulfill the nutritional needs of the plant, though...

If it doesn't get enough bugs to eat is there something I should put in the soil that would meet the nutritional needs ?
