Job Summary:

The Assistant Procurement Specialist is responsible for processing soft goods and growing supply procurement and related paperwork as well as conduct related activities in the greenhouses, with close collaboration with the Growing/Operation Department such as but not limited to: inventory, documentation, and communication of supplies and deliveries; and with Accounting Department such as billing. This position will also assist following up open purchase orders of packaging supplies as well as tracking inventory movement, particularly related to our partner contract growers.

Business Travel- 10-20%

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders, file credit memos for supply loss and defects, constant coordination with suppliers, and obtain invoices and notify A/P to process payments.
  • Coordinate with Growing team in space, crop schedules, maintain online packing list system, update product delivery schedule (including ETA, quantity, and locations).
  • Monitor and analyze shipments per packing lists and identify any order fulfillment discrepancies from the shippers to take corrective actions.
  • Scout through the products upon arrival for quality control, compile vendor credit claim reports with supporting pictures, and follow up claim status.
  • Compile the orchid weekly dump report.
  • Compile data of monthly PO receipts, arrival vendor credit dumps, and contract growing inventory for Accounting Department to reconcile company’s month-end financial and inventory statement.
  • Stay on top of product delivery status. Coordinate with custom brokers, trucking companies, and shippers for the latest delivery status and notify company’s growing team and operation team for physical receiving and follow up on transfer orders when needed.
  • Coordinate with partner contract growers on soft goods and hard goods inventory availability, movement, and demand fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with Logistics team for any pick-up or delivery activities among suppliers, contract growers, and facilities.
  • Review material requirement via System MRP as well as tracking the status of current open purchase orders and balance on hand.
  • Continuously monitor all packaging supply inventory to ensure timely fulfillment of production requirement.
  • Constant review the amount of obsolete/slow moving inventory.
  • Update daily assembly orders to reflect accurate inventory consumption by packing operation team of the product Bill of Materials and substitutions.

Job Summary:

  • Focus on completing tasks such as, but not limited to: digging trenches for concrete foundations and underground plumbing, drainage, electrical wiring, carpentry work, moving materials, landscaping and the effective use of tools and equipment to different work sites.
  • Effectively use construction portable power tools such as skill saws, tamping hammer, jack hammer, cement cutters, electric drills, grinders, etc. and hand tools such as hammers, pliers, bolt cutters, chisels, etc. to complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide daily maintenance support to assigned greenhouses by replacing and or repairing equipment, materials such as: glass planes, fiberglass, racks, vents and other required materials to ensure greenhouses are operating safely.
  • Responsible for assigned maintenance vehicle and its appropriate use to conduct daily assigned tasks.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on field irrigation systems, pumps pipes, fertilizer injection systems, pulse systems, air lines, CO2 lines and plumbing pipes. warehouses, and bathroom or kitchen plumbing.
  • Coordinate tasks accordingly to level of importance and perform emergency work as needed.
  • Work safely and responsibly at all times. This includes, the appropriate use of equipment such as: saws, hammers, drillers, grinders, etc. and wearing the appropriate protective equipment for each job as required by safety protocols. Job Summary:

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing specific and skilled maintenance repairs to Rocket Farms Inc. greenhouse machines and robotic systems, electric repairs and other detailed installed systems. The Specialist is also responsible for operating specific machinery such as, HVAC systems, to complete tasks.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and prioritizing assigned work/maintenance orders as needed, complete tasks and provide status of these to the department manager.
  • Coordinate or complete a variety of detailed electrical and maintenance repairs for all electrical and/or robotic equipment such as, but not limited to: identifying, replacing, repairing, installing and maintaining all electrical wires, fuses, switches, motors and lighting systems. Complete correction action to those that are not working appropriately.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on moving mechanical parts such as conveyor belts and motors.
  • Responsible for completing and/ or overseeing the daily work orders for plumbing requests such as, but not limited to: identifying, maintaining, repairing all plumbing systems as well as other fixtures.
  • Install, maintain, and repair all automated irrigation systems, fertilizer systems, pumps, pipes as needed.
  • Perform general and routine maintenance of HVAC and related mechanical equipment, replace and program thermostats, replace fans and blowers, lubricate bearings, adjust and or replace bolts, replace filters, clear blockages.
  • Troubleshoot, install and/ or repair all pneumatic equipment, including air- lines.
  • Perform hand bench work by operating drill presses, power saws, and other wood working machinery to build, repair rough wooden structures such as fences, greenhouse benches, and other wood or metal work.
  • Provide administrative support to the Maintenance department by ordering materials needed to repair or replace machinery or other equipment.
  • Work safely and responsibly at all times, wear safety equipment. Report unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to Maintenance Manager.

Job Purpose:

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting our Half Moon Bay Operations Department with daily activities related, but not limited to, critical Navision ERP System transaction execution, FLC crew management and staffing coordination, FLC data tracking and periodic reporting. Maintain high level of proactive participation as a key team member of the internal Food Safety and Site Safety Committees. The Operations Coordinator trains and supports all other Department Production Assistants company-wide as needed and ensures daily tasks mentioned above are completed efficiently, accurately and on time across all business units.

Essential Duties:

  • Weekly Farm Labor Contractor invoice reconciliation and database tracking.  Train and monitor FLC representatives in this task, update reconciliation process/procedure as required.
  • Assist in contract labor daily scheduling, tracking, and movement as required to achieve balance and efficiency throughout the day, across all departments and activities.

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Receiving Lead is responsible for unloading trucks with hard goods and perishable goods by forklift, pallet jack or by hand, and driving a company truck to transport materials when needed. Ensure that all materials are properly received, put away, and accounted for. Responsible for physical count of all nursery supplies. Will coordinate and organize all warehouse activities and equipment used while maintaining the integrity of materials stored. Required to make accurate and timely decisions regarding any and all receiving and warehouse functions.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all received goods (hard goods, live goods and materials) are put away in proper locations.
  • Ensure that all material requests get picked and delivered on time.
  • Provide direction to support team for the movement of products.
  • On a daily basis monitor all material request orders and pick for production or other departments.
  • Enter materials transactions for all goods received or transferred/reclassed, ensuring all transactions are promptly recorded in the system and turned into purchasing.
  • Inspect all overseas hard goods, note and report all damages to appropriate team.
  • Verify all counts received; notify appropriate team of any shortages or damages immediately.
  • Conduct physical inventories monthly and oversees weekly cycle counts.
  • Manage storage space in all warehouses, ensure space is properly utilized and retrieval of goods is facilitated.
  • Assist in loading of trucks and process necessary shipping documents
  • Maintain quality of hard goods that are stored in outside locations
  • Consolidate warehouse locations and bins to store materials properly.
  • Warehouse dry goods that will remain in stock.
  • Clean up warehouse area as needed.
  • Assist purchasing agents or A/P with any questions on receiving reports.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, regarding incoming shipments or materials in stock.
  • Work safely and responsibly at all times. Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Other duties as requested by the supervisor/ department head.

 

Essentials: 

  • High School Diploma, GED or 2+ years of related work experience required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Business Suite knowledge
  • ERP knowledge Preferred
  • Forklift Certified
  • Ability to work extended hours, including some weekends during peak periods
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to continuous change
  • Effective communication verbally and in writing
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Team player and excellent organizational skills

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision.
